Good morning ladies, I have finished 6 cycles of gemzar/cisplatin. My CA seems to have leveled off at 16 or 18. (My NED norm is 5 to 8) My Japanese doc recommended I take a break, do a PET, maybe femara and see..... I was having a hard time thinking about stopping for many reasons. I think this cheno stuff is awful but can be like an "addiction"? Anyway after getting second opinions etc from my US doc, I have decided to take a chemo/cancer vacation. Stop every thing for a couple months.

I will not be checking into this board for awhile, so just wanted to say that I love all of you and appreciate you so much and will not stop praying for you. I will check in in a few months.

    Dearest Kathleen, You will be missed but so happy you are at the place where you can take a break and pray that it is a very very long break. Good for you for putting the cancer aside and enjoying the days of no chemo. Prayers will continue for you. HUGS Bonnie
