Pammy,
that's a great book! One of the books that I checked out from the library when I was first diagnosed and left on the coffee table for my husband(of course I read through it also).I liked it so much that I bought my own copy that another bc friend is reading right now.0 -

Is there one for breast cancer parents?
I'm so happy for both of you that your husbands are reading this book. It shows that your husbands really do love you and that's really special.

Guess I needed to hear that!! Don't know if it's mood swings or what, but I havn't been too happy with my hubby for the last couple of days! It's almost like pms swings, but I know it's not-and he just seems to be saying the wrong things,or not saying enough of the right ones!Oh well...0 -

Thank you so much,
Pammy,
Thank you so much, I'm going to go find it right away. My husband is wonderful but holds everything in and at times has no idea how to help. I am not good at all at asking for help and I tell him all the time that the small stuff means so much to me.
He was cutting up all the fresh fruit that he bought for me at the store and putting in containers so I could bring to work this week. I told him, this is what means so much!
Thanks again,

This book is geared towards caregivers if no husband is present, but I would give it to my parents to read due to its basic explanations, but also it talks alot about what you are going through and how they can help you. Get it, read it, see what you think Pammy0 -

I wonder if his attitude would change if you answered him that you were thinking the same thing and realized that your new life didn't include him. However, your new life would need his financal support, just not his presence. You'll need to check into what that is going to cost him. But don't forget to include the guppies when you go for alimony so that they can recieve child support!!
How can you injoy your visit with Jamie if he is constantly beating you down? I say go yank his plant out of the ground and stomp on it!! Blame it on his budy the devil!! Pammy0 -

I also bought that book for my husband. I read it 1st since he was working out of town during my diagnosis & treatment most of the time. I think it is a good book even for the patient. I guess I should have known not to expect much when he never even got past page 25 in the book, that was 2 years ago.0
