I know several of you have mentioned joint pain ... but I don't remember what you think caused it.
I finished taxol/herceptin the end of May and had no joint pain during those 12 weeks. I started radiation on June 23rd and have just noticed my knees REALLY hurt when I'm walking up stairs. I don't remember seeing if that's a side-effect of radiation ... but I don't think so. So ... have any of you had joint pain STARTING a month AFTER taxol/herceptin? I do know that I've gotten a couple of other side effects from the chemo AFTER it was over ... such as the changing color in my fingernails ... but I just wondered about the joint pain.
I have been taking Zurtec (sp?) ... and just today switched to claritin ...
Just wondered if any of you had this delayed joint pain?
hugs.

I'm sorry I can't
Teena,
I'm sorry I can't help as I'm just starting chemo now and not the same as you but I will tell you all my joints hurt and was told it was the taxotere. I got Hydrocodone that worked very well for the pain.
I wish you well,
K
Teena,
I take the Claritin for my joint pain. That is what my oncologist recommended. So far it has worked and when I run out I know it.0
