Newbie here - how do you load a picture or avatar?

I am going crazy trying to find out how to add my pic or an avatar so it shows when I post. I was able to load a picture for "expressions" but can't get it to show when I post. Thanks for any help.

When you sign on... go to
When you sign on... go to home.. then from there go to "About Me" Page... seclect "edit"... from there Photo.. and try that... don't go to "Expression" see if that works..hope it helps some...

I did it and thank you for the help. Now I have only one other question, how do you put that little person like thingy next to your name. I haven't mastered that one either!

Little person thingy
That little person thingy is if you want to add someone as a friend there will be a green plus and you hover over it and then you can add that person as a friend. Once you add them as a friend then the plus symbol becomes a brownish minus sign.

You don't see it next to your name because you can't add yourself as a friend.
