I think also that....
....it is all the emotional stuff we go through that zaps us. I know this is the most emotional event that has happened in my life and my body is reacting to it. I was drained within the first few weeks of DX. Wouldn't it be nice if they could just give us a pill to couteract this side effect? They seem to have them for everything else, why not exhaustion? Oh well, wishful thinking. Try to hang in there and hope it gets better! Pammy0 -
Can relate
I'm 3 weeks post lateral mastectomy and am just now starting to be able to do little things and not getting totally exhausted. Just take it easy, do what you can, and when you need a break, sit down. I know that it is frustrating, as I am a go go go person and am having to adjust to this as well. It does get better, just be patient and make sure that you are eating good (I'm bad at that LOL). Hope to hear that things get better.

from yourself. You will regain your strength and energy when your body says it's ready. It took me three weeks to return to work after my surgery and months to begin to notice a change in my general energy level.
"Patience" is the new call-word of bc survivors and something that I am not very good at being (actually, to be honest, I am lousy at it). I am still learning how to accept that things will be as they will be and and trying not to worry about setting a schedule of when I THINK I should be feeling better.
Wish you well.

Mastectomies are major surgery. Give yourself time to heal. Besides surgery, the emotional side of having bc is hard in the beginning. You will do fine.
=^..^=
I think just the emotional part of having bc, besides the treatment, is exhausting. And, we probably don't give ourselves enough time to relax or rest.0
