Question about CEA?

Yes
Hi, Linda
0.8 is very good indeed...it indicates that you are in the normal range.
0-3 is considered GOOD for non-smoker
3-6 is considered GOOD for smoker
Anythin over 6 is an "indication" that cancer level may be active. The higher the number the more probable that is.
I was as high as 19.2 and then mine came down to 0.8 during chemotherapy...last check it was 1.5, which is still considered good.
Have a happy holiday!

Talk about silly questios.. what does CEA stand for? I know it's a blood test, I've had two or three and eeven know about the levels. But what words do the letters stand for? No, I didn't ask my oncologist. Why? Because he races through things and I hate to sound so uneducat3ed. Duh!0 -
