I read where you only have 3 more chemo treatments. Is that right? If

so, when will you finish that last one, or, do you not know? We will all want to celebrate

with you! So, let us know when you do Margo! A huge milestone! Love, Jeanne

    last one
    last chemo one is scheduled for 7/22. Then I will be on Herceptin every three weeks starting in August for one year. So it will be a long road but I can do it with help from my friends here on CSN.

    My last chemo has been changed to 7/23.

    Doing the Herceptin every three weeks is a piece o' cake. Look at it as your "quiet time", like I do. Take a good book to read & just relax. It goes pretty quickly!

    I was told the Herceptin treatment is 30 mins. So if they do blood work as well maybe 45-60mins total. Just enough time to read a couple of chapters.

    My Herceptin infusions are 90 minutes long. 30 minutes is very cool! You will be in & out in no time!

    Hi Margo
    My herceptin treatment is 30 min. long BUT...first they have to draw blood and make sure everythings ok for it, then they can order it from the pharmacy but not until. So then i wait for the pharmacy to deliver it. The whole process takes a couple hours for me. But thats ok I get to catch up with all my sweet Chemo nurses or just relax. I am very thankful I can have the Herceptin. It is a really good drug and does not bother me in the least. Congratulations on being almost though the tunnel. I have my flashlight on for you. Will you be doing Rads?

    No rads for me. I think 5 months of chemo and then 12 months more of Herceptin is enough for me. I don't know if I could also handle the rads on top.

    So glad to hear that a phase of your treatment will be over soon. Will you take a vacation between then and August? I hope so. I like the idea of using your Herceptin treatments as "quiet time." I used to take my iphone to treatments and catch up on a juicy movie or two. Almost there!!

    I will be given a vacation in between. I will start the Herceptin alone the week of 8/10 since Jake and I are going away to a camp for parents and children 8/5-8/8.
