Riding
I bought 2 Belgian Geldings straight after my 2nd chemo..(Husband steamrolled me into it) They were so huge and clumsy and dumb I had a terrible job handling them. After getting dragged around the paddock several times I sold them.
Even if they had been sweet and quiet I don't think I could have physically managed to ride them. Every bump hurt, even the ride on mower. And not sure how I'd have managed to mount up as only my left arm was usable for a long time.
However, I'm only just a year out of treatment now and am thinking of taking it up again. 40 years in the saddle. I miss it a lot.
Hope this helps. Tally-Ho! Jxxxxxxxxxxxxxx -

I'm familiar with Belgians: we owned them when I was a child, and we own one now that's in a 6-horse hitch. He's huge (over 6 feet); there's no way I would consider riding him. I can see why you sold yours! Hope you find another horse that's more 'riding size'.
