Just goes to show you that you never know
The TV Pitchman, Billy Mays just died. Everyone dies, there is no escaping it. In a strange way we are lucky. We've had a close call so hopefully we are more appreciative to things in life. It can all change in the blink of an eye.

A blink of an eye or a bump on the head.....
We love Mays in our house. This is really so sad. :-(
peace, emily
He was the Oxy Clean guy. Just saw him on the Tonight Show the other night. I hope that this won't come in three's. I need a break from deaths for a while. Love you guys Paula G.0 -
You never know
That's why we all have to enjoy our lives to the fullest! When our time is up, it's just up.We're here for a limited time only, and we never know when it will change. Death always comes in three's, but Billy Mays is the fourth, I hope that doesn't mean that we'll hear of two more. I would much rather hear of new babies being born, anyone out gthere know of any????
Stay well, and go out and have a good time. :-)0 -

The list so far is more than 3 - It is 5:
David Carradine
Ed McMahon
Farrah Fawcett
Michael Jackson
Billy Mays
And like someone recently said, many others who we will not hear about.0 -

1) Farrah Fawcett sold the most posters of all time.
2) Michael Jackson sold the most albums of all time.
3) Billie Mays sold the most of all time.
The other two were small peanuts not known for much other than a Kung Fu show 25 years ago and being a side kick 25 years ago. Not exactly at the top of the game, ya know what I mean?

If you are VERY successful selling something at this moment, GET OUT OF THAT BUSINESS A.S.A.P.
The odds are against you...
I am actually in the middle (well, the beginning stages) of writing a Letter to the Editor of our local hometown paper to bring up my frustration as how Farrah's story was buried on page 8 of the Daily News in NYC while someone's fame and apparent overdose of drugs is taking up all the headlines. Cancer is going to claim many more lives this year than those of celebrities who OD on prescription meds this year.

Phil,
I'm frustrated with the news coverage, too. Farrah Fawcett fought to live. Michael Jackson may have thrown his life away. There is just no justice...

So right!
What the heck did Billy Mays die of? Yelling at the camera too much? I swear, I'm sick of these deaths. However, I'm still seething about everyone going on and on about Michael Jackson and saying nothing about Farrah Fawcett's valiant fight. You're right. Those of us who survive the beast are very lucky and we really don't know when the bus is going to hit. Like when the Edwards broke the news of Mrs. Edwards' recurrence. They sat the kids down at the dining room table and asked, "Who here is going to live forever?" Naturally the answer was no-one. We just sort of have an idea of what we will die (barring runaway buses), but we don't know when. Like the song says, "No one gets out of here alive!" So let's enjoy our lives and those we love to the MAX!

Hit Head or Heart
Latest news says Billie Mays had an enlarged heart that caused
his sudden death not being banged on the head....in fact he
was scheduled to have hip replacement surgery soon.....wonder
if they had just not checked his heart.....now we are back
to the doctors again.

I guess you just never know. I know that when I am all done with this chemo I'm going in for a stress test and all that. Like Barbara said, you would think they would have caught this heart problem before deciding to do surgery. They checked me out before my surgery.
Feel bad for his family.
