Has he seen a Renal Cell Carcinoma oncologist? My husband too was diagnosed with Renal Cell Carcinoma Stage IV, mets to lungs, extensive sarcomatoid features which means very aggressive and the Fuhrman grade is stage IV this past March/April. He had a radical nephrectomy by a surgeon who specializes in this and is now seeing a top notch renal cell carcinoma oncologist who put him on medication. There are a lot of new meds out there for this disease. How is your husband feeling physically besides devastated by these doctors reaction? And how are you holding up? There are a few excellent Cancer Treatment Centers for this type of cancer in the U.S. I don't know where you are located but you should look up www.kidneycancer.org and there is a nurse hot line who may direct you to another doctor. Please do not give up. I'll be praying for you and your husband. Let me know how it works out.

What does Hospice advise you? Do you want to try somewhere else? Was the cancer specialist only experienced in Renal Cell Carcinoma? If you go on kidney cancer site there are many people on the forum who were lost causes until they found the right doctor to help them. I'm not saying this is your case if you have tried all the possible avenues. I just hope the right people come into your life now.
God Bless and you are in my prayers.I am so sorry.0 -
