Has anyone been told MRI showed benign tumor but biopsy turned out to be cancer?
I met with the orthopedic oncology surgeon yesterday and we reviewed my MRI..I am breathing a big sigh of relief in that he feels by just viewing the MRI my tumor looks benign (lipoma) however he will be removing next week to biopsy and rule out liposarcoma.
Since there is no guarantee of a diagnosis until it goes to pathology I just wondered if anyone has been in the same boat - benign diagnosis until biopsy came back? Thank you in advance....
