Funny Story
I have a funny Erbitux story. I always try to stop and buy lemonade when I see kids selling it by the road. So one day after a nice fresh dose of the big E, it was hot our which makes the rash even worse but I stopped to get a lemonade and the little kids jaws were just hanging down in horror. I got my drink and gave them a quarter tip and left giggling all the way home.
So scaring kids IS fun Eric!0 -
Sorry
Bummer that you have the rash, and I think this is your second treatment? Sorry that you are getting worse. I haven't gotten a rash yet, but I have been allergic to stuff that gave me a rash and it isn't fun. Is there something that the doctor can give you? Hope you are feeling better soon.

Erbitux plague
Eric:
I feel your pain. I finally got off Erbitux and switched to Avastin (sp?). I would have done this earlier but my oncologist said Avastin is not good right after surgery.
My plague is gone and I am looking relatively normal. Best of luck to you. The good news is it does not take long to recover once the Erbitux is turned off.

Annabelle - I just got my fourth treatment last week. My fifth is wed. I joke but actually cannot complain all that much. My rash is pretty mild compared to alot of peoples. It is spreading but I mostly just get the dry red skin that itches. Most of the acne is on the back of my shoulders and chest where it is hidden. So far, only one spot on my hand but it`s still early and there`s still time.
Phil - You are right. It is fun to scare children and I won`t need a halloween costume.

Hi Eric,
You do have a good attitude? Are you on the antibiotic minocycline? If not, it very well could nip your rash. It took away the acne part of mine, but then I still had the red part of the rash. I'm not actually sure if it's supposed to help the red itchy rash part of it, or if it's just good for the acne pustules. Couldn't hurt to ask, though.
I'm sure you've had suggestions already for the itching but, if not, some people have sworn by Head and Shoulders shampoo as a scalp and skin ointment. Scalpicin helped my scalp with the itching and burning- I never tried the head and shoulders myself.
Best wishes with it all!
