New Here - Excisional Biopsy Friday

Hi- I am new to this board. I was dx at age 35 in 4/02 with Stage III and went through 12 weeks Herceptin/Navelbine, followed by mastectomy, then 4 AC, 3 Taxol, 34 Radiation treatments, 40 weeks of Herceptin taking Aromasin (I was on Tamoxifen for a few years). I was also dx with osteoporosis last week even though I have been on Actonel for 2 years, so I have to see a bone specialist. I finally opted to have reconstruction in January 2009, I had the DIEP and love it. However...last week I found a rather large lump in the center of my chest, I spoke with my plastic surgeon about it and none of us have felt it in the past 6 months (I was seen weekly for a long time), I was praying I would be told it was "just scar tissue" but she can't be sure, especially because it just showed up. So I am having the surgery next Friday. I am a bit freaked out. Although I keep telling myself is just "has to be scar tissue", the signs are the same as the "first" time. Although this time it is a bit smaller, maybe the size of a quarter but hurts just like the first lump I found. Please send positive thoughts this way. I wish I didn't have to wait so long for the biopsy but I don't have a choice. I keep telling myself that it will be okay but also know that somehow I will find the strength to deal with it if it isn't okay. I had no history of breast cancer, or any cancer for that matter so the first time around I was clueless! Lets hope that this turns out to only be scar tissue!

    Yes the waiting is the hardest part isn't it?
