lost my dad to cancer

I've always turned to this board for support. Today is no different. Just buried my dad 2 days ago - cancer. Not sure if it truly was lung cancer or prostate cancer that spread. doesn't quite matter now. He fought so hard but between doctor screw ups and weakened system he just oculdn't win the battle. I just had my 1 year colonoscopy when he went into the hospital. I have my CT's Monday. So far I am still NED. Rest peacefully dad, I will miss you. Thank you for letting me share.

    I just happen to believe he is no longer in pain and will always be there for you when you need him. I believe just because they leave this earth and their bodies doesnt mean they leave us completely. My prayers are with you...

    I Lost....
    ....my dad to liver cancer when he was only 46, I know how you feel, cancer just sucks wherever it is, I'm so sorry for your loss, you have my sympathies, and I am glad though to hear you are doing well though! he will always be with you though :)

    I'm sorry for your father's passing. It is always hard to say 'goodbye' to a beloved family member. I lost my dad many years ago...but I still have him in my heart. And I still can picture him on many occasions...
