Since reaching adulthood, oh soooooo many years ago, I've been plagued by bad LDL, bad HDL, and high triglycerides not to mention high blood pressure. Not a very healthy picture. In December, 2007, two weeks prior to my lumpectomy, my right carotid artery was surgically unblocked. Since chemo, rads, Arimidex, Aromasin and back to Arimidex, I was quite worried about my "lipid" picture. Today, I received my test results. I was told that my profile was perfect and that I couldn't ask for anything better. My doctor was thrilled and so was I. This is the FIRST time in my life that I've had this kind of a report. That coupled with my NED one year report makes me just about the happiest and most fortunate person in whole wide world. I am so blessed. Please forgive me for tooting my horn, but you are my second family and you, above all others, understand these victories. Hugs to you all. Marilynn

    Toot long and loud
    Marilynn,

When there is good news that's always good and it's perfectly fine to toot your horn--so toot it long and loud! I am very happy for you-congrats!

If I was you, I think a billboard on the most traveled highway seems in good order, too!

    could it be?????
It's odd but when the doctor told me my good news, I immediately thought that maybe the chemo had cleansed my system???????!!!!!!!!I know that's far, far fetched, but the thought did cross my mind. I wonder if there are others out there who have experienced this same phenomenon? Hmmmmm! Verrrrrrrrrrrrry interesting! Hugs, Mariynn

    Congratulations, Marilyn, on
Congratulations, Marilyn, on the NED and also the other good reports. Simple reports like this are enormous to all who have this journey to travel. I will go in tomorrow for my six month followup mammogram following tx, and have my fingers and toes crossed. No matter what stage of the fight we are passing, the news of NED is so overwhelming that it takes your breath. I hope I loose my breath completely tomorrow. Congratulations again. Hugs.
