Bittner.. Six years ago, I had a discharge from the nipple on my left breast. It was clear to creamy yellow.. (not trying to gross anyone out here)... I went to the doctor and they took a slide.. The pathology report did come back with pre cancerous changes.. I ended up seeing a surgon and having a ductectomy... now, six years later, same breast IDC.. Please call your doctor.. it could be nothing.. but it is always better to be safe than sorry.
Prayers & Hugs.

Nipple discharge can be a sign of something very serious, infection or even cancer. Run, don't walk to your doctor. This could be serious, but, I pray it isn't.
Yes, nipple discharge can just be an infection, which isn't good, and, it can be cancer.
Please let us know what you find out! Good Luck!0 -

I didn't and waited 1 year to get my mammogram. Breast cancer didn't run in my family, I simply thought it was hormones. It was DCIS, stage 0 and contained--thank goodness. I had delayed my screening because my mother was dying. What a blow to hear the news 6 mo after she had died of renal cell carcinoma that I had breast cancer. I breast fed 4 children and never imagined what this journey would hold for me. My 2 sisters didn't breast feed, and have no sign of bc.
Do get checked right away and be persistent on questioning the doctors.
I wish you the best~

Yes, I agree with Melanie. Get to your doctor and have this checked now. If it is something, prolonging any treatment will only make it worse. And, if it is nothing, you can have peace of mind. So, call your doctor!0 -
Nipple Discharge
My boss and I were talking the other day about something I had completely forgotten about. She said I told her in January that some yellowish, creamy type of stuff was coming out of my nipple. She told me to go to the doctor, but since it stopped almost as fast as it started, I didn't go. Now here I am with invasive breast cancer, a radical mastectomy and my life in shambles. Oh, how I wish I had told my doctor immediately. They might have caught it before it spread. Please go see yours right away. Unless you are breastfeeding, I don't think anything should be coming out of a woman's nipple. And get a second opinion while you are at it. Stay safe.0
