I went in for my colonoscopy on tuesday and got the all clear from my surgeon...yay!!!
I had a happy day yesterday and today, but now my mind is already looking forward to friday, my first 3 month follow-up with my oncologist for bloodwork, x-ray and cea test and my nerves are starting to kick in. This cancer sucks...you can't even be happy without waiting for the other shoe to drop. But, I guess I would rather be here and have to worry about it than not. At least, if everything goes well on friday I have 3 months before I worry again
Hugs all,
Denise

Good Luck!
Denise,
I was recently declared NED. I am not naive...I know that could all change with my next scan. BUT it could also mean good news! I chose not to worry about the what-ifs and just enjoy the NED status. Go in with a positive attitude. Out thoughts and prayers go with you.
Many hugs, Vicki0 -
There is light
at the end of the tunnel. I felt the same way. I have been NED since 2007 and I constantly thought about, talked about, dreamt about, discussed, cried over, cancer everyday until most recently. Dont't get me wrong, it enters my mind everyday but not like it used to, which I guess is because I am NED. If I was still fighting the battle then my thoughts would be different and would revert back to the beginning.
But there is LIGHT at the end of the tunnel0
