I'm here! But Tasha's not??
Whats up with that? I go have surgery and tasha leaves???? How can that be? She is such a part of us. Me, coming along nicely. Shoulder and elbow and wrist joints ache from the swelling. But from what I can see all is going to match pretty nicely in time. Today is my first post op appt. he will probably remove one of two drainage tubes (I don't like that part). I so appreciate your thoughts and prayers. I hope your pet scan comes out spotless! Someone jokingly told the hospital kitchen I could have NO chocolate!! They wrote it and circled it on my menu slip that came with each meal.....I am making up for lost "choc" at home.....Thanks for thinking of me, Pammie. -

Glad your surgery is over and you are doing well. I know what you mean about the drainage tube. I have only 1 right now and I am hoping it gets removed tomorrow, but I still am not under 25, and I was told then it may not come out. Anyways ENJOY your chocolate. -

Melanie, I am so glad that your surgery went well. Two matching ones sounds good! Hope the drainage tube removal is not too bad and your surgeon is pleased and gives you more good news.
Thanks for letting us know how you are doing. Please keep us updated on your progress. And also thanks to Pammie for creating this thread: I had forgotten when your reconstruction was scheduled.
Also, you have probably found that our Tasha is back. -

Sorry, I was out of it, contemplating my navel for a couple of days.
I am so pleased that everything went well and you are now back to a 'Full Set'...Woohoooo well done!
After surgery when they removed my drain, I honestly never felt a thing. And I was just so glad to be rid of the thing. Good Luck, Hugs Jxxxxxxxxxxx -

Glad to know surgery went well, and I hope your appointment today did, too.
Yeah, you eat all the chocolate you want - you certainly deserve it!
Kind regards, Susan -

Slowly coming around to feeling more like myself. Both those drains came out yesterday--Oh gosh they are "buggers" as Tasha says....I stuffed myself full of chocolate and pain pills before i went in, and of course that helped..some. My shoulder and elbow still are sore, and know that in a day or two that will be gone also. Still need to lay low and wear my lovely compression stockings and heal~watch movies, eat choc, watch tv, visit with girlfriends who bring salads....ah such is the life of a survivor~in reconstruction. I am blessed to be loved and cared for by many....including all of you who lift my spirits and start a thread just for me!
