How much will this increase my chances for prostate cancer. I can help my dad deal with this the best I can. I am still monitored for this currently every 6 months,(blood work catscan doc visit), next one in aug and I just went to 6 months from 3 months. Should I call my doc immedietly or wait to inform him of this change.
There is a wealth of info on this on here so I am sure most of my questions about his situation can be answered that way. This is mainly for my situation.
Thanks

Thanks JimRRMCJIM said:increased risk
Sorry to hear your dad had to join us, but it is a good place to be. My Dr had told me that odds go from 1 in 6, to 1 in 2. An increase to 50%, had a member of my family already had this disease.
Yeah I had heard
Thanks Jim
Yeah I had heard those numbers as well. The one thing I never found out was if the cancer I had raises my chances even further.
