My Wish Came True

Hi Ladies. Had some major computer trouble the last few weeks. A virus blew out my keyboard of all things. So all I could do was read the boards and not reply. But I just got a new keyboard yesterday and now I'm back online.
I had a very wonderful thing happen to me last weekend. As I had posted before my big wish for this year was to see the ocean. Well, one of my friends got a free comp casino trip to Atlantic City. Her hubby did not want to go, so guess who went instead? Yep! My first time on a plane. My first time in a hotel room. 29 floors up at the Trump Taj. View of the ocean one way, view of the city the other. All I had to buy were my meals, and I even got one free one! Spent lots of time on the beach watching surfers. Walked the boardwalk as much as I could. Yes, I got tired and had to stop a lot. But I never thought a year ago that I would be able to do this. I thought back to just two years ago when I was re-learning to walk. Never did I think I would be able to get up and just walk like this. Yes, I cried when I saw the ocean. I cried on the plane..I had a window seat. I cried on the day I left. I brought home some taffy and some shells and the memory of that ocean air.
I am so grateful to still be here and able to do this. And happy to share this with all of you. Hugs, Cindy
