Ohio Here....nudgie said:West Virginia
I moved to the West Virginia area in 2004. Which part of WV are you from?
I'm actually from Long Island, New York, but now live right across the bridge from West Va.. Southeast Ohio here, the town is Middleport. Point Pleasant is only 13 miles from me, Mason, and all those cute lil towns. I enjoy going to the Huntington Mall and was just planning a trip there this weekend to do alittle shopping
Hugssss!

It was actually filmed on a set in Pennsylvania, but based out of Point Pleasant, WV, it's a big thing here, they have people from all over the world every year come out in August/September when they have the Mothman Festival. I go, it's fun.. they even have a silver sculpture of the mothman sitting off Main Street there, since the legend did happen in Point Pleasant. I actually met the author of the book a couple years ago there, and he signed my Mothman Prophacy book very nice man.0 -

I been to the Charleston Town Center mall, I love it, the mall has 3 floors! I have 3 girls, and a boy, and we all love to just walk around and shop, it gives me my exercise LOL...
I wish you would make it over to Huntington! Heck, I'd meet you over at Starbucks where we could have some coffee!!0 -

My girls are 18, 14 and 12 and my son is 9, my oldest will take the little ones and even walk them around the mall when I get too tired, and may sometimes just sit down and read a book in Borders or something, that would be great to meet you, this weekend we're seeing "Wolverine" and having a cook-out, then next week I get my chemo, which means the next weekend I'll be laid up in bed, but we should try and meet up the weekend after that! I would love that! we could have lunch, coffee! whatever! the kids would love for me to sit and have someone to talk too while they "do their thang" LOL0 -

I am too far north. I am in the Charles Town area - Charles Town Races & Slots area or known as the Eastern Panhandle of WV.
Hunnington and Charleston would be more than an 8 hour drive (I think) and I am already looking at a 10/11 drive on 30 May 09. Going to see my son in Chicago, IL
If you meet up, enjoy the day, the sights, sounds, and mysterys the day has to offer0 -

It answered your question.
It's amusing (to me) so many posts have disclaimers on them now.
Even I did it!
i have had alot of comfort from everyone on this site even though im a pretty new member and i did not want to offend anyone by them taking my question the wrong way, like i was looking to "hook up" and find a date or something..and im sure that poor woman probably wishes she never posted her ad, because there were some pretty brutal responses on there..and im not on here to make anyone mad or start a war..thats why i put in my disclaimer..lol....0 -

a very LONG time ago - my mother bought a small farm in Reedy, which was about 10 miles out of Spencer. I met my first husband there (of course, he was about the ONLY person I met). He had alot of family in Charleston and Beckley, and I nearly went to Marshall U (got married instead - I would advise anyone to go to college first). And Donna - I used to shop at Huntington Mall many moons ago!
Moving and living there at the age of 17 wasn't very good, but some days now at the age of 47, gosh the peace and quiet would be great! I'll never forget the first thing my little brother caught while hunting - and ran through the house with his "catch..." a huge skunk!0 -

Are so cute, too bad they stinkies! LOL!
Hey, if anyone around this area wanted to meet up, lurking or not and needed a cancer buddy, or just someone to talk too, I'm here, we will definitely have to hook up Shannon!
Charleston is just abit over an hour from me as well as Huntington, I'll go to either place, I know where Slots is, and the dog track there!
Marshall isn't far at all, I wanted my oldest to go there, but she's going to try for Ohio State University instead.0
