Hi, I'm new to posting and to the boards. I've been on Herceptin for 6 years and it is
apparently not working like it used to. Now, I'm supposed to go on Lapatnib. It was going to
be lapatnib/xeloda combo, but now I'm thinking of a clinical trial in which they would keep
me on the herceptin and add lapatnib. I'm confused, disturbed and anxious, and wondering if
there are ohter women out there who have made the transition and how it is going for you?

    Warm welcome, Linda M!
Though sorry for the reason you're here. You've come to the right place, full of folks so willing to help & share, support & encourage.

My BC experiences do not mimic yours; therefore, I regret that I cannot directly address your specific questions. If any amongst us can assist you, I'm sure they'll eventually step forward.

    Best wishes to you.

    Kind regards, Susan

    Lapatinib
    Linda,

Welcome, you will find support and information on this board. You will also find motivation to keep going, laughter and kindness. Back to your original question, I will be starting Lapatinib on 5-27-09 with Herceptin as part of a clinical trial. I too would apprecate any input others may have. Love Surf

    Great!
We must be going into the same trial. Have you been on Herceptin before?

    Herceptin
    Linda,

This will be my first time with Herceptin. I was dx'd in Feb of this year. I start the lapatnib and herceptin plus taxol on 5-27-09. What is the number of your study? I think we are on the same one. Love Surf
