Yippee - I'm Done!!
I have to say this discussion board made such a difference. Knowing that I was not alone and that so many were going through the same treatment as I was really helped. Especially, about round 4 & 5 when the side effects were getting stronger and I was feeling down, I could log on and there would be someone with comments that would make me feel better. I hope all goes well with Nana B, Cheryl, Buzzard, Daydreamer and the rest of you. I will be checking in. Hopefully, I can answer a newbie's question and make them feel a little better.
I hope to have my port removed soon (I'm waiting to hear from surgery now to set the appointment)and I need to see my onc again next month and of course further follow-ups with him. My side effects will hopefully be fading away by then. They really are getting better. I actually had a soda with ICE, yeah. Boy, was it good.

I swear if I had one more round I would have had a full blown case of hand/foot from the xeloda but luckily I avoided the worst of it. The spots on my arms seem to be getting better and my hands and feet just feel a little sensitive, kind of a sore feeling. The oxy is wearing off, thus, ice in soda.
Sounds like you will be done soon as well. I hope the very best for you.

Doesn't it feel GREAT to know you don't have to get hooked up again??? That alone made me feel better! Hope you did the dance and celebrated. I still have to have a scan, not sure when, but I guess soon.0 -

Yes, it is a great feeling to know I don't have to be hooked up again. When the day came around that I normally would have had my infusion I felt so relieved I didn't have to do it. I just got scheduled to get the port out next Wednesday. The last constant reminder of chemo will be gone. Good luck with your scan. I pray all will be well.
