Hey, J the Snake Charmer!tasha_111 said:Whew
Thank you all for not calling me "A Big Girls' Blouse". Thank goodness I had today off to recover.
When I got to the till yesterday, my boss was dealing with a customer so I was trying to portray to her what the problem was using sign language etc... She was in tears when I started waving my head around with a fixed glare and flicking the tip of my tongue out.
Strange sense of humour some of these people have.

SO glad you had today off from work!

Hey Susan!!!!!! I hit my first Garage sale today!!!!!! I am delighted.
I got an antique cast iron park bench ($5can)..just needs nuts/bolts and wood slats. and 4 plants for $4can. 2 lily of the valley, 2 forget-me-nots.
I had a great day. Even did a load of laundry and got it out in the sunshine!
AND... I planted loads of plants in the front garden. Buggerrrrrr, I'm knackered now. Hugs Jxxxxxxxxx0 -

I am butting in on this one, I LOVE garage sales, especially if they have plants. I usually go to the clearance aisle to get the ones half dead, then I am so happy when I can bring them back to life. I have been buying bunches of plants, but they have been piling up on my front porch waiting for me to put them in the yard! the bench sounds great too! I have a mini one in my front yard that a large ceramic frog sits on! Post some pics please?

Please, dear, you are most certainly NOT butting in - ALL are welcome to join in on any and every discussion!
I'm fond of garage sales, too. And yard sales!
I'm very impressed by your obviously "green" thumb. I call those sorts of plants "orphans"!
Kind regards, Susan0 -

Orphans, I love it, I can now tell my husband I adopted more plants instead of bought them. He doesn't really complain, just kind of rolls his eyes now. He has given up. Good. I have lots of yard, front and back, so I am always trying different things with it.
Love playing in the dirt. Always was a tomboy. This just makes it legit. ha ha
thanks for the shout out

Hey, Cat... Another slant on Retail Therapy...
Yeah, you don't BUY the plants - you ADOPT them! (And, of course, there's a very small adoption fee.)
HA HA!!!

Just had to share....
I went to a baby shower at my oncologist's partner's house yesterday. Just a coincidence his wife is related to my friend...ALSO, onc is married to another onc, so.....
They had this huge mansion of a house on a lake here. Their landscaping was so beautiful and I kept thinking the whole time, I could fill up a bag with cuttings from their plants and they would never even miss them. I have already spent about $300 on new plants the last couple of months, and still needs some yard improvement, so gosh, I was thinking about what else I could have spent that money on and got plants for free!
I think I am getting more like my mom....she would have just done it and giggled all the way home!
Well, at least I found out where some of my money goes, since he is in the same practice with my onc :-)
Maybe they'll let me come over again, since I didn't steal anything :-)

snakes
OMG! That made my skin crawl! We have big huge scary rattlesnakes in Texas.
We even have a rattlesnake roundup in a small town near me. Stupid people catch them, show them off, eat rattlesnake meat, etc...it's gross and I will NEVER attend THAT celebration.
What a stupid party!

In my younger hippie days, when we lived on a ranch, we caught them and gave them to the university to milk them of their venom. I also ate it once, thanks, but will never do that again. Had to try it!
