Not right at all.........This damned disease has no mercy whatsoever. Poor kid. Just terrible, 10 years old and losing a breast before you even really get them?........Man is that just so wrong. ! It makes me really sad too. Thanks for sharing this cat.
Hugs to you and yours, and to Hannah and her family too. Jxxxxxxx -

THIS IS NO JOKE. HANNA IS IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA AND EVERY SCHOOL IN LA MIRADA CALIF HONORED HER BY WEARING PINK. BOYS TOO. WERE ALL PRAYING FOR HER. CATS TOYS DO YOU LIVE NEAR LA MIRADA TOO?
I am in So Cal, La Mirada is not far away, I heard about her right after her diagnosis from one of my co-workers. Her husband plays baseball with Hannah's dad. I asked her to keep me informed because I was just completely dumbfounded when I heard. She just told me this week that the surgery had taken place. She did have some breast tissue, and it was removed. They haven't said yet what takes place next. I think the website (which has been hit hard) is trying to keep everyone informed. But I'm sure it is a very trying time for the whole family.
My prayers and good wishes are going out to them all (and all of you in this wonderful little group!)

GOOD GRIEF!!!
A CHILD?!? I am sick to my stomach... Have never heard of one so very young!?! How in the world does a little girl, before the hormones even begin to kick in, get BC??? How in the heck can she possibly understand what's happening to her? Honestly, Cat, if I wasn't reading this right here and from YOU - I'd be very skeptical.
No one is safe from the beast, no one, not even children? How very, very sad... :-(
I hope you communicate, via your coworker, that you've now rallied the ACS CSN Breast Cancer Group behind this unfortunate little girl and her family. Thanks, Cat, for letting us all know (I'm in the Midwest) so that we can support with hopes & prayers.
Kind regards, 12/25

Sigh, suffer the children....
Please keep us posted,
Hugs, Kathi
I thought children got mostly "childhood cancers" - certainly horrid enough, but unique to their age range... On top of this, they also can get "adult cancers"??? Good grief...

There is nothing fair about breast cancer, I am in disbelief. The one thing I do know is how strong and resilient children are. God, save our littlest Angel!
Love and gentle hugs,
