I know where you are coming from. AC is horrible. But take heart, taxol IS much easier for most people. Good luck you are almost done! Blessings, Eil
Well I had my first Taxol treatment today...all my labs were good so she continued with the treatment. I still feel kind of funky from the virus, I hope that goes away. I will keep you all updated on my Taxol experience. I also got some Benedryl today...that felt GOOD!!
My hands/feet & bottom of nails got dark due to the Adriamycin, my hands/feet look like they are dirty.:-) I was told by one of the ladies on the site that they should begin to lighten back up will on Taxol...my nurse confirmed that they should.0 -

Jaavon, I hope that your virus doesn't delay your taxol. I just finished my last AC eight days ago. It is the most horrible stuff on earth, I had ( I love using the past tense,it makes me realize that it is over)extreme vomiting and nausea, plus the lovely mouth sores and fatigue. We are half way through!!!!! Jasvon and Joy D:Please let me know how you are doing on the taxol. Love to all Surf

Jaavon,
I had my 2nd Taxol w/Herceptin treatment yesterday 5/14 and everything went well--only 10 more to go for me of this. They gave me Benedryl but I get wired on it so I didn't get the GOOD feeling.
With the steriods that my oncologist prescribed for me to take starting the day before chemo treatmnent (2 pills twice a day for three days)--she is cutting it down to 1 pill twice a day because I can't sleep 3-4 hours and that is it and I have never had such a clean house. I want to be able to sleep.
I know people have said that neuropathy in hands and feet is a side effect from Taxol but so far I haven't had any. I do hope my dark spots on my nails lighten up.
I lost my hair on the AC, I still have some hair follicles that didn't fall out because those hair follicles are rough and not soft, but not my eyebrows or eye lashes. Someone at work told me who is going through Taxol as well that her eyebrows and eyelashes fell out on day 10 so that will be tomorrow for me so I will let you know what happens. I know everyone is different.
Hugs,

Hi Jaavon--Glad you made it thru the AC, I was due for my 3rd taxol yesterday, but it was a no go. My white blood count was too low so I was rescheduled for next Wednesday. I just want to be finished with all of this.
The taxol is much easier to tolerate--i was really surprised when I had to skip the treatment because I feel fine!!! Cheryl0
