I am so sorry this has happened to you, Joanne. There are very effective treatments for lung cancer, and several who post here can attest to that. I have a friend at work with a rare, "unknown origin" type of lung cancer, and she has seen remarkable improvement after chemo/radiation. The activity in her lung now is less than what the doctor has seen with pneumonia patients.
So do not give up. You are a survivor. And you have three of the very best reasons to fight and win: your three children.
You will be in my thoughts and prayers.0 -
WOW
Wow Joanne,
I am so sorry that you are getting such terrible news! I will keep you and your kids in my prayers. I cannot imagine what you are feeling right now. (Well maybe I can, but I don't even want to go back to those thoughts.) I know it is difficult but try to keep positive. Trust that you will be able to fight this beast and focus on that! If you believe it, it will be easier for your kids to believe it!
God bless,

Scary Time
Hello Joanne,
I can relate to your fear, I have had to battle cancer three times in 12 years and it never gets easier to hear. Since I was first introduced to cancer way back in the 70's (mom had it) they have come a long way in treatments. Shoot I was amazed how far they came from 98 to 07 when it came back the third time. As difficult as it is to do try to keep positive you just never know how well you may react to treatments. We are here for you and wish you all the best! My prayers are with you and yours!

Please feel welcome to post with us also. You are in my thoughts and prayers. My mom had colin cancer which spread to her lungs. That was 24 years ago and I can't believe how far they have come since then. I have friends who have survived lung cancer for awhile now and are still going strong!
