Should anyone want to see what it looks like, I've got some pictures posted on my expression page. They are not gruesome nor are they pornographic but they show the burned area.

    I agree
It is very kind of you to share your pictures. Are those after radiation? And, what are the white spots? Where you peeled? Does it hurt? Are you better now? I know...a lot of questions..lol

And to Susan..I am glad my pic makes you smile..that was the purpose of it!

    After rads
I was just red when I finished radiation--the pictures go in time from bottom to top. The bottom two were about 3-4 days after finishing. The top two were today(finished on the 10th). The white spots are skin. It still hurts but it's getting better and I can start to see a time where I won't be obsessing on my underarm! ;-)

Sorry it still hurts; but, glad it's getting better.

    Thanks Maureen!
Thank you for posting your pics. I am still in radiation treatments, but, almost done. I am doing the boosters now. Wow, they are fast. lol I drive an hour to and from for about 1 minute of a booster. But, I am so glad to be nearing the end. I, too, am burnt in places. I have a few blisters and still have the itchy red bumps. Those drive me nuts, but, I did get a prescription that is helping now. Hopefully soon..I can say goodbye to radiation!

I start week three of radiation on Monday. So far so good, a little redness and fluid build up in the breast, but no burns yet. When does the blisters and such start?

    Hi Jan!
I only got burnt, what I consider bad, in 3 places and that was about #20 or so, the fourth or fifth week. But, they are better now that I am getting the boosters and they are not zapping those spots anymore. I got the red, itchy bumps probably week 3 or 4, and, still have them. Those are what drive me nuts. They call them "radiation dermatitis". I am glad that you don't have them and hope you don't get them. To me..those are worse than the lil pink burn. I haven't had any fluid build up. Let me know how you do!

    After?
Hi Maureen! So, you got worse after the radiation was over? Yikes..I am so so sorry. Are you better now I hope? Did you ever have these awful red, itchy bumps? Did yours go away when you finished? They are worse to me than the lil pink that I am. I hope you are doing better!

    Yep
The worst happened after treatment. I have a spot about the size of a quarter that needs to heal but it doesn't hurt much. I'm still peeling all over the place but that's just messy. I don't remember bumps but I remember itching but I don't think that I ever itched as bad as you. I was too tender to scratch!

You didn't have the bumps? grrrrrrrrrrrrrr lol
Actually, I am very happy that you didn't. I need to do research as to why some do and some don't. They are just red lil bumps that really itchhhhh! If you are peeling Maureen, that means you are healing, so, I bet it won't be long and your skin will be beautiful again. I haven't been tender so I have scratched. Well, I did. lol The creme I have now really helps. I still have the one bad spot on my collar bone..that got it the worse for some reason. I pray you will be better with each day!
