Some good non-cancer news

Hi to all of you valiant Teal Warriors! I wanted to share some good news that has nothing to do with cancer. Yesterday, I completed the second major component of the requirements for trying for National Board Certification for Teachers. I am DONE! I started this process last September, when i was still going through chemo for my first recurrence, and I didn't finish chemo until the end of December, so that made it really tough for the fall semester. I hung in there, however, and now it is worth it! It is a very intense and complicated process, but the process alone makes you a better teacher. Oh, and I won't get my scores until November. Sorry I have not responded to many posts lately, but I have been reading them as often as I could. God bless all of you and He is with you always! Carol

Whoeeeeeeeeee!!
Carol, this is wonderful news! It is not easy to be going through all that you have and not be distracted. But you did it. And you deserve all the congratulations coming your way. I always knew that us survivors could do anything, and you have proven that. I wish you all the best when your career becomes official. You will be some teacher!!! All my best to you, and big hugs, Cindy0 -

WONDERFUL!
That's super news, Carol! I always wanted to be a teacher. I ended up home schooling my oldest for a few years. We need good teachers. Glad to know you are on board!
God has surely given you a blessing, and you will be a blessing! Stay strong!
