Anyone else have itchy, red bumps during Radiation?

itchy
I was very itchy during my radiation. My Dr had me take an over the counter allergy pill ie benadryl to help with the itching. She preferred this over some of the prescription creams as she didn't want to temper the already tempered skin. I also had an over the counter hydrocortisone cream that I would keep in the freezer. What instant relief with that coldness! Hope this helps!! -
I am also suffering with
I am also suffering with those red bumps and the itchiness. ( if that is a word ) They gave me hydrocortisone too, which helps some, but, I still itch. There has to be something else out there that would help. And, I have booster's coming up too and am scared to death of them. -

Talk to Dr.
As always, talk to your Dr., but I have heard of people taking Benadryl and taking some prescription creams, which I cannot remember the names of right now. Your Dr. and/or chemo nurses can give you suggestions. I had little white blisters, just like I have had in the past with a bad sunburn. The blisters broke and the skin started peeling. Intense moisturizer (aquaphor/vaseline) helped. I don't know if it will help with itching.
Best wishes, seof
