Hans update #2

Procedure went well. Patient was a pain in the neck (read lower body part). Glad to have survived it. The anesthesiologist is a dear friend of both of us, and he was there, not because the procedure warranted it, but because we both were frightened. He talked to Hans thru the entire thing. It was a great comfort. He now has a pacemaker, and the only thing left may be a repacement of it for a newer one (it had been set to 'on demand' pacing before this).
Hans stayed till after supper, and then we came back home. He slept all night. Me, too.
Thank you, thank, you all for your well wishes!!!!!
I went today to my oncologist for my 6th month check. She held my 3" folder on high, looked at me, and said "It's hard to believe that this is even related to you! You are so healthy!" Another victory....my osteoporosis is on the decline, and my cholesterol is the lowest (190/61) I have EVER had!!! Must be my 'cancer' diet...low red meat, loads of fruits and vegies, and very little dairy (lactose intollerant from the chemo...). So, good news all around...
BIG hugs, Kathi

Good reports!
And a good nights sleep too! Hopefully more of those to come in the days ahead. Thanks for keeping us "abreast" of the situation, we all care so much when tough times happen to our friends here. the good reports are bringing smiles to us. Keep doing what you are doing to have the reports in your favor--eat those fruits and veggies and all the other "stuff" we do to take what control we can over the beast as we refer to "it". And here is to all those unexplored places that you take us to in pictures and stories that are yet to come for you and Hans~

Kathi, here comes a big "double congratulations". You and Hans have certainly been tested these last few years, and it is about time to get good news on both of you. Everyone has stayed up to date on your posts, and we do appreciate your taking the time to keep us abreast of your situation there. Here's to many happy smiles in the future, and lots of stories about new adventures with you two. Hugs.

Good News!!!!!!!
Need I say how happy I am for you both?? And happy for me too, I might add! Why, you ask? Well, of course I make everything "all about me"~ and I was tiring of holding my breath: blue is sooo not my color! Exhaling feels ever so good!
How wonderful that you had a close and trusted friend with you to help calm your frayed nerves.
ALL of your news was so welcomed~ and much deserved.
Rest together, smile together, and just love each other. There isn't anything quite like that feeling anywhere.
Thanks for posting Kathi...we love you!
Hugs,

Wow, great to hear!
That is so wonderful, Kathi! What a relief that you are both home and healthy. Now, Hans can recover with you at his side.
And how wonderful that you are so healthy. Good to know that your healthy diet is making a difference. That inspires me to stick to mine, even when I don't want to.
