Your photo resembles someone who attended the Oasis Center on Sheridan Road and Birchwood about 20 years ago.
Just wondering?
Rick
Hi, No I only went to the States once and they threw me out for not having $6 US. I'm english and moved to Canada 5 years ago. So it wasn't me (not really my pic either...Shhhhhhhhh!) Jxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -

Tasha,
Your photo resembles the Tasha I remember from Oasis Center in Chicago nearly 20 years ago! This is a very small world indeed!

Try contacting webmaster@acscsn.org before too long in the morning tomorrow (today now...Tuesday), and you can be invited to an online seminar this afternoon, between 3 and 4, wherein the technoids will try to figure out what is going on. They are trying to invite all of the people who have issues with connections, and have asked some of us to help find them.
It will do you good, Ev, to hook up and let them know what you have done to try to get in, and maybe they can figure it out.
Take care,

Thanks Joe, i missed the online seminar, do you know if they found any solutions? Who would i contact to find out? Thanks I really would like to chat with cancer patients like myself. I have been trying to get in all times of day and night for several weeks. This posting is okay, but just not the same as chatting. Ev0 -

Ev, I do not know yet what they found out. You might just try to get in and see if that works, although I doubt that they would fix a problem that fast.
I will promise you this: when I find out anything, I will email you on this site to let you know what they have discovered, if you have not found out on your own. I am not a member of the ACS or CSN staff, Ev. I am just like you, except that I have been hanging around for a couple or three years and they know of my background with computers and my deep concern for this site and the people on it.
Here is one idea: Go to Tools on your internet page, go to Internet Options, followed by the Advanced tab. Once there, make sure that under the Jave (Sun) entry, the listing is for 1.6.0_11 and that it is checked.
If not, that could be your problem (I am just thinking out loud again).
If that is cool, then, again, hang in there, and if I get an answer before you I will let you know.
I do agree that while the boards are vital, there is really nothing like talking to real people in real time.
Trust me, these folks want you to be able to get in there.
Take care,

I know that some people who have Vista have had issues with getting into chatrooms, not sure if that is your problem or not. I am no techno wizard, that's for sure but just thought I would mention it. Hopefully you can get yourself into the chatroom soon, it can be very helpful to have immediate conversation. Take care and hope to see you in the room sometime soon. Blessings, Blueroses.0 -

I'm sorry that you are going thru this,I don't have vocal cord cancer, but I know someone that did. And I emphasize did!! He went thru radiation treatments and he is absolutely fine now. He's a Dr himself and I'm sure you know Drs make the worst patients! LOL I don't know your age, but he's an older man(in his early 80's), still works, and he went to work most if not all days he was goiong thru treatments. At times it was a little difficult to eat but he still did, and there was a little burning on his neck from the radiation. Other than that as I said he is fine, and still working and enjoying a ful life. Best of Luck!0
