Well, got a call today. I got a specialist, surgeon at James cancer center at Ohio university in Columbus. There just is not anyone in our area who will take my medical card, maybe that's for the best. I looked him up on the center's site, it looks like he's been at it a good while, is into a lot of research and the latest treatments. The lump underarm is small as is the lesion on liver, so I am encouraged about this. I have to get all my scans and tests together to take, made calls on this already. He also has the dreaded scope scheduled the day I go, the 23rd. Made arrangements with our local reserve a ride patient navigator so I've got transportation there too. His name is Bloomston, anyone have any experience with him? Hopefully he will have reassuring news for me. Just thought I'd update what's going on with me, Pam. Been reading other postings, and writing back a little here and there.

    James Cancer Center
is known as one of the best BEST cancer centers in the state. You should have some good drs. tho I'm not familiar with any names. We went to the James for a second opinion re: husbands
treatment that was recommended by our oncologist. They were both in agreement with the protocol. Good luck with your drs.visit.

    I go there
I have my treatments at the James Cancer Research Center, with Dr. Kasori, she's a colon specialist, and so far have been very happy with the people there. The chemo nurses are well trained and very friendly, and I wouldn't trust any other hospital around me with my chemotherapy treatments. I live 2 hours away from there and we go every other week for my treatments.
