what might we be in for

My husband is a 30 yr survivor of testicular cancer which spread to his lymphatic system. He was given a 5% chance of survival with treatment. 30 years later we have found 1 Basel cell carcinoma, he has developed cardiomyopathy and 2 bad heart valves from all the chemo and radiation he had back then. Recently he has been diagnosed as being anemic. The doc did more blood work and then ordered a bone marrow biopsy. He has had a CAT scan and is otherwise healthy. I know it is a bit early to be worried but human nature leads us down the "what if" line of thinking. So what is next? What might we expect? Is it normal to order a bone marrow Biopsy for anemia?
Thanks for your time.

hi Banshecat,
Well I,m 72 no previous problems with health, but on a physical The dr. said i was getting anemic . He had me go thru an endiscopy and a colonoscopy to see if bleesing internally ? I wasn't so he sent me to an oncologist for a bone marrow biopsy . Well it showed i had Myelodysplasia which is pre leukemia , Have had chemo and blood and plateletts transfusions and now into AML leukemia . I,m not eligible for the bone marrow transplant because i,m 72. So have had six rounds of chemo and due for another bone marrow biopsy and see whare we go from here . My Prayers with you and hubby .
