Good Week
It was a great week in Galveston, Texas. We went with our church and met with the Friends Disaster Service to work on homes in the areas devastated by Hurricane Ike that hit in September.
My husband and I worked at a couple's home with several others for 4 1/2 days. They were so appreciative and thankful for the help. We tore out ceilings, walls, drywalled, primed and painted outside, some electric, soffit and facia, and cleaned the yard. I did stay outdoors away from the inside dust, etc.
It felt so good to give back to those in need. And they were able to see the Love of Jesus from our actions. There was no preaching, just doing. And being from Ohio (18 degrees this morning and suppossedly 7 tomorrow morning) what a nice respite from the weather. The muscle soreness is a good soreness, not aches and pains from chemo, lack of estrogen, etc. but the kind that is good for ya!
February 24th was my 53 birthday and when we met back at the church for our evening meal, my husband had the cooks pick up a cake (and only 2 candles ☺) and after singing Happy Birthday, that was the dessert for that night. I do have a wonderful husband (we celebrated our 34th yesterday).
Thanks for asking about our week and for keeping us in your prayers. It is always good to be back home, too.
Love you all,
Libby ♥

Such Wonderful News...
I just read so many great things it blessed my heart. It is wonderful that you
reached out and helped others in need...giving truly is the greatest feeling.
The fact that you had aches rather then treatment pains is fantastic news to me!!! My body hurts all the time and it has been a year since my treatment ended...is that normal? Also that you celebrated your Birthday and Anniversary... Wow, wow, wow. I can see why you had a good week
God Bless You,

Great Report
Happy Birthday, Anniversary and Congrats on a successful trip to Galveston. Thank you for your service to the coastal area. We had record heat out here in W. Tx. 700 miles from where you were. Sounds like a great trip and mission like our church does. Hugs and Prayers, Saundra0 -

Hi
Welcome back Libby! I know how much fun you had doing all of your house repairs - I was able to help on the Women's Build here in town for Habitat. We built a home for another single mom with two children. It was, by far, one of the coolest things I've ever been able to do. I learned so much, pushed myself hard and met so many cool women. I was up wrapping the house in insulation the weekend before I was diagnosed with OVCA. Still find it hard to believe.
And happy belated birthday wishes! May you enjoy many, many more.
Hugs!

THANK YOU ALL ☺
Thanks for all the well wishes, etc. It was great and now looking forward to spring and feeling like doing some cleaning around my own house - inside and out. It is a little cloudy here today in St. Clairsville, Ohio BUT it is suppose to get up to 70 degrees! Yahoooooooooooo
Love,
Libby♥0
