Test
The doctor usually gets the results in a day or two here. Hopefully your follow up appointment is soon. My oncologist and her staff are very good about giving me information if I call if my appointment is further off and I am worried. Just had my CT, PET, Mammogram, Ultrasound and MRI all done over the past 2 weeks, I must be glowing in the dark. Good luck tomorrow. And call your doctor if you get to anxious.

Hi Denise,
Of course, you are anxious about your CT scan tomorrow. However, having a CEA below 1 is outstanding. Results are usually back within 24 hours, but having a CT on Friday typically means waiting over the weekend!
Try not to worry too much. All will be well.

My imagery lady told me that the results can be known in a couple of hours but the Dr likes to look at them then its 2 days before we know. I found this out and marched right back over to the ONCs office and told em that I wasn't leaving til I found out what the results were. I sat there then they promised me that someone would call me that afternoon. I told them that the imaging center would know within 2 hours and I wasn't going to worry all weekend long on something I could know in 2-3 hours. I was called at around 4 and told that the scan was fine....so its just a matter of I think how its put to be honest on how long you have to wait.......the scan was done at 10:30 that morning.0
