Thankfully all of my treatment is being covered by the VA and they are doing a wounderful job, however I am having a horrible time finding financial help to cover thins like rent and the such, has anyone found any rosouces availabel to honorble discarged Vets with no disabily related to the militay

    Hi tjhay,

    My husband has a military related disability so we were eligible for VA benefits but he also applied for Social Security disability because he can no longer work. You can apply right on line. You could also check out eligibility for SSI benefits. Good luck. Sheila

    Have you tried the Veterans Service Commision? Or how about the DAV? These aren't LONG term help but they can also serve as advocates.
