He got his fifth treatment today

Hubby had been on hold pattern due to low WBC. Today it was up, so he got his 5FU treatment with Oxal. So he's on the pump till Thursday then he'll get a shot of Neulastin on Friday. And I think he'll be getting the Neulastin after each treatment from now on, so no more delays. And dr. said that he should see if Ritalin would help him with fatigue. He said it helps some, but not all patients. Anyone ever heard of this before?

He didn't want the prescriptionkimby said:Yep
My onc prescribed Ritalin for me. It didn't work for me, mainly because I'm ADD! LOL My girlfriend just rolled her eyes....she already had it figured out! LOL
Give it a try, but remember that a side effect can be loss of appetite.

filled for the Ritalin. He said the fatigue is not bad enough to be medicated for it. He'll deal with it rather than have more drugs in his body. I'm more concerned about side effects of the Neulasta injection he gets tomorrow.
