I talked to my oncologist and the tumor is there
She called a yesterday afternoon ago and informed me that the radiologist didn"t seeanything in the first film because it was behind the pancreas. The latest report said it is not on the pancreas and is separate from it. She told me that it is nothing we would do different, as far as treatment,. If the chemo doesn't get it then we can possible do a local radiation, but she does not feel it will be needed. I feel better because at least I know that my Dr. and I were both on the same page. I am responding to the chemo. It dropped from 59-38 after 1 treatment. I am holding firm that the Lord will remove it all.
I am asking the Lord to keep me positive. But at least I know the whole story!
Thanks my friends,
Barbara

(((Barbara)))) Keep the faith.
It's scary to have something you don't want to hear confirmed, but once you get over the shock, it really is better to know and accept and reach inside yourself for the strength. And then put it in God's hands and do what you have to do. It's surprising to me every time I get bad news how quickly the horrible dispair I feel at first evolves into acceptance, determination, and finally into hope. ((((Barbara))))0 -

Lots of Positive Vibes
Hi Barbara,
I know the Lord will keep you positive and also know our tears help to cleanse our soul so we can get on with living. So tears are okay too.
Your numbers are dropping ~ 59-38 after 1 treatment ~ that is awesome, and the Docs sound like they are doing all the right things for you. So rest in the assurance that God is still carrying you, He is in control, and will bring you through. God Bless Bonnie0 -

Doctors
Hi Barbara,
I read the previous postings and responses after your initial post, and it seems you're in good hands!
One of my support group women has had radiation for a small tumor; she's still waiting for her follow-up scan, so I won't learn of the outcome for a while. She seems to have weathered it well, and was upbeat at our last meeting.
We're all looking out for you, as I'm sure God is.

May calmness cover you with the good news of the chemo working on those numbers. I am glad that you got the report straightened out with your doctor. I get copies of everything even blood tests. That was I can read them when I get home. Saundra

Sue,
It makes me feel confident that all of you feel my Doctor is on top of it. Interesting about the radiation. Let me know the results. My home email is boobuski@tampabay.rr.com.0
