My daughter called this morning and they are coming over around 3 pm and we are having a family sleepover. She and her hubby and our two beautiful grandchildren and then tomorrow we are going to have an adventure, outdoors if it doesn't rain or somewhere indoors if it does. My hubby and I are delighted that they are coming and he is at the store getting my grandson's favorite treat (little individual packaged milks). They are not big on candy and junk for him so his idea of treats are carrots, celery and these milk drinks. He does like cake but he thinks that is only for birthdays. They are so good about making good food treats. Next weekend is his 4th birthday and he is having a Star Wars cake and ice cream. But the funny thing is that he will only nibble at them. Glad they are into the good nutrition. I should be so good. LOL! So we have going to have a lovely valentine's day. I hope everyone has a beautiful day and is wrapped in the arms of those we love.

Hi Mimi. I'm catching up on
Hi Mimi. I'm catching up on reading posts and found this very special one and I couldn't resist to reply. I had many reasons to celebrate following the end of treatment on Christmas Eve 2008, so my husband and I planned a weekend getaway around Valentine's Day to San Antonio, Texas. We ate, drank, shopped and were merry for a couple of nights. I think we've created a ritual that we'll share each Valentine's Day - marking the end of treatment and life after breast cancer.0 -

Derbygirl,
This sounds lovely. I love the idea of rituals to mark a special time. My husband and I are planning to take a very relaxing trip once chemo is over and perhaps another one after radiation. I hope you had a wonderful time, and wish you many, many more trips to San Antonio with your husband.
