Re New Info on Bone Strengtheners, Clinical Trials?

Thanks in advance for any input. I am a little confused about options now.

I finished C/T in October
I finished C/T in October and I'm nearly triple negative (only 5% ER+). My oncologist didn't want me to take anything except Calcium + Vit D during chemo treatment in order to not interfere with the drugs. He even discontinued Multi-Vitamins. I have found that Oncologists have different opinions about treatments so be sure to check with your Doc before adding supplements. Once finished with chemo, I'm taking hormone therapy and Onc added Glucosamine/Chondroitin and Multi-Vitamins to the Calcium + Vit D. -

Than you, Derbygirl. I will stop the multivitamin and stay with the caltrate/vit d that my onc mentioned yesterday. -
My onc said the same thing.
My onc said the same thing. No multivitamin during treatment. He thought the chemo would do its job better that way. He didn't have me take vitamin D tho or calcium but I didn't know about this message board so didn't know to ask. Sometimes they just don't tell you unless you ask. So ask a lot. -
You probably don't need to
You probably don't need to worry too much about it now as you're taking some calcium and your getting your Vit D levels checked which is a good thing. The steroids deplete calcium and wreak havoc on your bones but it's not like your taking them every day. When your done tx, you can ask to have a bone density test done and then depending on the results go from there.
By the way, love your pic.
