    Confession about the dishes...
First, it was too cold (MINUS 4 in the morning and only 15 in the afternoon) so I am going to do the breaking later today- it's supposed to warm up a bit. Hubby is home and I have to go for my pre-ops, and after that he's going to encourage me to break them all...

Now for the confession - I am obsessed with plates. I collect salad size ones wherever I go. Right now I have about 75, all different. Daughter & son-in-law look for ones for me when they travel - it's addictive. I don't buy the souvenir ones that say "You have been to the casino or the Tower or the Bridge", etc., just pretty ones that catch my eye. I have racks on my kitchen wall so that about 20 are displayed openly all the time, and I rotate them. Some times I look at roosters, other times it's fruit, or leaves, snowmen, etc. I also collect teapots, but I ran out of room for them and plates are easier to store.

I am feeling better just THINKING about smashing the crappy ones! Vicki

PS - one of my friends gave me the Mama Mia dvd, I am saving it for when I get home from surgery and just lying around.

    plates
I wanted to ask about the plates and there is your answer. Hope it warms up enough for the breakin in ceremony.
I too love collecting stuff and one of my greatest joys is combing thrift shops for the most excelleent of buys....yesterday I found a cannister set with pale pink tops....metal....4 for a buck. Also like to find old unfinished quilt tops and turn them into finished quilts.

Good luck with those pre-ops Vicki

    Mamma Mia!
I LOVE that movie! I have added it to my collection of movies i MUST watch when I feel like dancing! My twin just bought the DVD for me when he and his family were up last weekend! Bring in a portable DVD player and watch it while you are in the hospital! I watch Grease whenever I have to go in! :)
