The information you posted does not seem clear to me. For example, usually 39 EBRT/IMRT exposures are not required after a radical prostatectomy. Only about half that would be given to the pelvic cavity and only if your Gleson scores were above 7 to 8, with a majority of your biopsy samples showing high levels of cancer. For example, before my EBRT/IMRT, G=9, PSA=12, all 12 biopsy samples were 5 to 70% cancer. It was recommended (& I agreed) that I go for EBRT/IMRT (39 sessions), the first half was to the pelvic cavity to get any of the unseen cancer cells that might have gone outside the prostate. The remaining half of IMRT was aimed at the prostate. Now in your case, if the radical prostatectomy did not remove all your prostate, then you have some serious questions to ask your surgen and oncologist.

i had a radical in 05 psa stood at 00.7 until mar 07 went to dr psa had jumped to 3.5 so went for second opion and they felt something on the eurithia biopsy shoewd xancer were protate was removed so was given 39 radiation and lupron in jan an feb 08and psa dropped to 0.04 in mar 08 went back 3 months later psa went to.7 waited ANOTHERmonth could have been bounce but not the case psa went to 3.5 again so put back on lupron 3 weeks later psa 1.18 went 4 weeks later psa went to 1.46 so casodex was added 3 weeks later went to 1.01 went last week jan 22 psa went back up to 1.9 original biopsy in 05 gleason 9 but confined to prostate while on table they did biopsy all o.k thanks for you help you can e-mail me at jojoman12@yahoo.com.my name nick thank's again0
