hey does anyone know if I get my hair permed will chemo effect it in any way???? Thanks

I am a hairdresser and I know customers of mine couldnt get perms during chemo treatments, also hair dye was not recomended, but I would use a mild color no ammonia or peroxide and that would be fine. Unfortually any medicine effects the hair. I would ask the doctor if its ok to get a perm now and if she saids ok, explain to your hairdresser that you are having chemo treatment and to treat your hair with care. Good Luck Lisa
