    Insurance BRCA
I also tried to get tested for this when I had my breast cancer one year ago. My insurance would not cover it. Six months later, when my company changed insurance, I tried again. They would not cover it, even with my strong family history. Six months down the road, I developed ovarian cancer. In the middle of a snowy winter, two weeks before my insurance ended due to unemployment, I had surgery for the cancer. I am currently trying to get a medical card to keep up with all my follow up appointments. I had to cancel the appointments I had In January. I think all those who need this test should be able to have it. And I hope this new law coming up, passes. It is long overdue. Hugs to all...Cindy
