Shine on, you crazy diamonds
I said, "Yeah, Ry, I would probably be lying in bed with an oxygen tank, like our neighbor over there, taking morphine every four hours right about now. If I was still here. And if he was right."
And here is my point: to all of you who are still here, defying the odds or simply (simply?) benefitting from the treatments you have received, to all of you who are still with us, and who still make me laugh when I see you, who still make me cry when you want to, who make me proud to be part of this large community, albeit one I would recommend others avoid if at all possible:
Shine on, you crazy diamonds!

Boy, am I glad your doc was wrong, soccerfreaks!!
Have a very happy holiday season and I hope you and your family will have a great new year full of health, peace, love and prosperity!!
All the best,
TereB
Me too, Tere .
Turned out I had an infection in lungs, and keflex taken for other purposes knocked it out...I had only ONE malignant node, and we got rid of that in Jan of this year.
Tere, I enjoy your posts in here and sincerely hope that others get as much wisdom from them as I do. You are someone special.
I am hopeful that you have a very merry Christmas and a wonderful 2009 to follow!
Take care,

Eil, I consider MYSELF lucky to have spent time with you in the chatroom, especially, and in these boards, too. You are, it is clear to me, beautiful both inside and out, retrospective, reflective, kind, thoughtful, and, it seems at times, a delicate flower.
I wish the very best for you over the holidays and into 2009. May you, in fact, have a Christmas surrounded by loved ones and a year next that is happy and fulfilling.
I look forward to talking to you, my friend. You have been missed!
Take care,

Take care of yourself, kiddo!
Merry Christmas to you, as well. And fondest wishes for an outstanding 2009.
As for the recipe, a lot of people make beer better than I ever will, so I will stick with them for the time being .
Take care,

you are a wonderful man and have helped and taught so many people in here. Your words of advise and encouragement seem to make most feel comfortable and give a sense of security.
I am glad you are doing well and the doctor was wrong. Right there goes to say that not all doctors are right and you alwyas fight , fight , fight even if they tell you different because another human body cannot tell us what our bodies, mind and soul can and cant do.
I wish you the best in the years to come!! Enjoy your time with your son and make memories for you all to cherish. Keep on fighting you are trully a magnificant man and have proven to all that miracles can happen if you let them
May the angels watch over you and your family and shine and guide you in the future.

I cannot live up to your most generous words, tracy.
I thank you for them, nonetheless, and will do my best to strive in that direction.
In the meantime, I hope that your Christmas was as merry as it could be, and I hope that your 2009 is one filled with promise, and with promise realized.
Take care,

HOWDY SOCCER
How nice Joe that your son voiced his rather reflective thought. He was thinking about what could have been. As stated by the others who have posted here I too am so glad your doctor was oh so very wrong!
Gosh if it had not been for his error I would never have realized my ability to be a DCF. Keep on keeping on my friend and thanks for being you!

I just read your page, Olee, and am hopeful that things are getting resolved for you. It sounds as though you have a great attitude and despite what you might read in some places, I truly believe that attitude makes all of the difference in the world. I have some support in that belief, by the way, from at least a couple of people in the medical community .
Best wishes to you and your family!
Take care,
