Prayers for my sister
I'm rather new to these boards and needed some prayers today. I'm finishing up my year of treatment. My last Herceptin will be right before Christmas!! That's the good news.
The bad news is that one of my sisters has recently had a suspicious mammogram. She had a second mammogram and ultrasound this week. Rather than allowing the core biopsy she has asked for an MRI first. So at this point we don't know if it is or isn't breast cancer. Anyway, I'm having dinner with her tonight and our family will be gathering around her afterward for a time of prayer before she goes in for her MRI tomorrow morning.
Just wanted to ask for prayer and wisdom as I walk this path with my sister. I remember so well all the emotions that wax and wane in those days between 'suspicious' and 'breast cancer.' My sister will certainly be walking that path this week, but I am praying for 'suspicious' and 'it's nothing!'
Thank you,
Chelle

Prayers
I have added you and your sister to my prayer list, and wish her the best in the MRI tomorrow. We all need a little prayer when we enter this phase, and hopefully her results will be negative. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I hate to say this but
I hate to say this but getting an MRI *might* make those feelings worse. MRI's are notorious for false positives. There are so many instances where people ended up chasing shadows. I am not anti-MRI (they are good in some instances) but I just wanted to say that if the results come back that there is something "suspicious" on the MRI, it could still be nothing.0 -

Sister Love
Chelle,
Of course, all of our thoughts, prayers, good vibes, positive energy and the empathy of everyone on these boards is with you and your sister. It goes without saying that we hope that if it is "nothing"~ we will rejoice with and for you both! But if nothing is indeed "something", know that we walk with you and your sister every step of the way. Keep us posted...
Hugs,
