Happy Thanksgiving to
Happy Thanksgiving to all!!!!!
Because of my resent stay in the hospital, this is the first year that I won't cook so it feels a little strange but my family (all 25 of us) will meet at my house and will pot louck it. My girls have been wanting to learn to cook the traditional meal that my mother-in-law tought me how to cook so they will spend the night and we (or they) will start cooking the stuffing tonight. My duaghter-in-law will bring a ham, my sister will bring chicken with rice (not the way I make it but will do LOL) and then there's the salads and desserts. But the most important ingredient is my family driving 2hrs (specially the elders who are over 75 yrs old) to be with me to give thanks and celebrate life.
I wish you all a happy and healthy Thanksgiving and I'm thankfull for all you support.

Thanksgiving
As I sit here illuminating the room after my last rad treatment today, (just in case the lights go out), I realize how great a Thanksgiving this will be.
Surgery, 4 months of chemo and 5 1/2 weeks of radiation and I feel like I can not only crawl out from under the rock I've been hiding under since my diagnosis, but all those stupid little things in life (and sometimes stupid little people) can't annoy me any more!!!
So when the turkey turns out burned and rubbery, I'll just do the naked happy dance to be alive, and eat a pound of chocolate! But for the sake of family and neighbors, I just may close the door first. LOL
Happy Thanksgiving to one and all!!!!

Back At ya
everyone. We truely have so much to be thankful for. Life is gift. That's what I have learned from this journey. Don't take a single day for granted because you never know if it will be the last. Tell people you love everyday that you love them. So important are the simple things in life. Happy Thankgiving everyone.0 -

Happy Thanksgiving!
I too, would like to wish all of you the happiest and most blessed of days today!
Am mid chemo and under the weather for weeks with a virus that just won't let go. So my future daughter-in-law is coming today to prepare our feast.
I will be surrounded by my wonderful family and my incredible grandkids. And while it may be a bit difficult for me to eat, or even stay awake the entire time, I AM THANKFUL!! Each and every day, I am thankful!
Hugs and hope to all!!

Today is truly a day to be thankful for, and most of glad to be alive. The people in this discussion room have truly become real people to me over the past couple of weeks, and I am so glad to have found a forum in which I can hear the thoughts and incentives from people in the same place I am. Although we don't have family close, we will be with them in spirit today, having heard from each and every one of them already this morning. I view each day as a blessing, and have finally turned the corner of trying to keep my feelings inside, not wanting to burden others with how I am feeling. However, the sun shine is streaming in this morning, and I know that tomorrow is a new day. A friend of mine gave me a placque that says, "Courage is not always a loud roar. Sometimes courage is a quiet little voice that says I will try again tomorrow." Happy Thanksgiving to all who read this, and know that we have all survived to see this day. Hugs to all.
