A bit of Turkish Delight...I'm back!

The trip was fabulous! We had some adjustment to living our lives based on 37 people, with time schedules...but for the rest...well, 'squattie potties', MAJOR amounts of lamb (kabop...yes, with a 'P'), and some incredible weather, we had SUCH a grand time!
I had my first Turkish bath (and the Turk bathing me was swarthy and strong..mmmm...he even washed my hair!!!), saw more ruins than I thought existed anywhere, and even used the bathtub as a washing machine when we ran out of clothes...lol...to have a t-shirt laundered, it would be 14 Turkish Lira...about 10 dollars...EACH!). I told Hans that for my services, I needed another sparklie...rofl!.
Near the end, it grew cold, and unfortunately many of our bus got headcolds (me included). So, I am going to take it easy today...just lazy, I guess.
I drank Turkish coffee, the original Chai tea (spelled Cay in Turkish), sampled Turkish delight and Turkish Viagra (these were candy, I promise!), ate MANY sweets with honey...mmmm...but still managed to not gain weight. We did ALOT of climbing and walking.
So that's it in a nutshell...pictures to follow at some point...we took over 1000!
Hugs, Kathi

Welcome Home!
Kathi~
Thanks for the travelogue; it sounded wonderful! I laughed at the Turkish Bath description~ and you were worried that you , as a woman, wouldn't "know your place"~ seems you found it! :-)
We can't wait to see your pictures; rest, get over that head-cold, and do your laundry!!
And, btw Irish, good line about coming home from Turkey FOR Turkey! Hahahahaha

You know I will be awaiting
You know I will be awaiting the pictures since, as I told you, you are my hair model. You were the first picture on this board I saw when I was bald and I thought your hair looked so cute just grown in.
Welcome back. I guess life not only goes on after DX and TX, but it is fun too!
