Hi Ladies, I¡m 3e weeks away from delivering my baby girl and I must decide between 2 names, both are french since our last name is french also (Quesnel. Please let me know your opinion on which one is nicer, sounds better with my last name, and is best pronounced in the USA.

AMELIE'!
That's my choice. Is it pronounced EM-I-LEE? I probably didn't do that well, but same as the English spelling, Emily. That's a pretty name. Congratulations, Liz! And I'm so glad to hear your concerns about your Mom have been taken care of. Now she AND YOU can enjoy the birth of your child, and your Mom's granddaughter!
Blessings to you!

Both are beautifullizper said:Tks for your time and you honest opinion!!
Now I`m confused again.. we were suggested Lorie-Anne Quesnel
Now which is nicer Amélie or Lorie-Anne????
Thanks again
Be well!! Liz
Hi Liz,
Both are beautiful names, but having worked in a school, there are a lot of versions of Lorie (Laura, Lori, Laurie, Lauri , etc). I'd go with Amelie. It's beautiful and much more unique!

Amelie!
Thank you for sharing this fun decision!! :-)
And congratulations on your little one.
I like both Anais and Amelie...
There's a great perfume called 'Anais Anais'. What does that mean in French?
I guess I'll vote Amelie... oh, and I agree there are too many Lorie's.. it's a more common name.
Amelie is more unique!
